Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CPArcade ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CPArcade is an independent educational tool designed to help individuals studying for the Uniform CPA Examination. The Service includes daily challenge questions, a gamified study mode, and supplemental reference materials ("Cheat Sheets").

CPArcade is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), or any CPA examination review provider.

3. Educational Use Only — Not Professional Advice

All content provided by CPArcade is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes professional accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. CPArcade does not guarantee that use of the Service will result in passing the CPA examination or any portion thereof.

Questions and content are original works created by CPArcade based on publicly available AICPA Blueprint topics and accounting standards. They are not sourced from or affiliated with any commercial CPA examination review provider.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

The Full Game feature requires a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis — monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($99/year) — depending on the plan you select.
• Billing occurs automatically on the same date each billing cycle using the payment method you provide.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
• CPArcade reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. CPArcade does not store your full payment card information.

5. Digital Products — Cheat Sheets

Cheat Sheet PDF purchases are final and non-refundable once the file has been downloaded or delivered. These are digital products distributed via Gumroad and are subject to Gumroad's terms of service as well.

6. Intellectual Property

All CPArcade content — including but not limited to question text, explanations, game mechanics, branding, and visual design — is the intellectual property of CPArcade and is protected by applicable copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or create derivative works from CPArcade content without express written permission. This includes sharing questions or answer explanations in bulk on other platforms or study tools.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@cparcade.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and subscribe to the Service.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share, resell, or distribute subscription access to others
• Scrape, copy, or extract questions or content in bulk using automated means
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Misrepresent your affiliation with CPArcade

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. CPArcade does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content is completely accurate and current.

CPA examination content is subject to change by the AICPA. CPArcade makes reasonable efforts to keep content current but does not guarantee alignment with the most recent examination blueprints at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CPArcade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall CPArcade's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Suffolk County, New York.

12. Changes to Terms

CPArcade reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
